Our Story
About Golden Rule Ministry
A grassroots faith ministry built on one simple command — treat others the way you want to be treated.
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." — Matthew 7:12

Founder's Story
Where It All Began
Golden Rule Ministry was born out of a simple conviction: that the church is not a building — it is a people. Pastor John felt called to step outside the four walls and meet his neighbors where they were — on the street, in the park, in the middle of their hardest days.
What started as a personal act of obedience grew into something far bigger. With a bag of sack lunches and a willing heart, Pastor John began showing up every week to feed the hungry and pray with the hurting. Word spread. Volunteers joined. Lives began to change.
Two years of consistent, faithful service have laid the foundation for what Golden Rule Ministry is becoming — a donor-directed giving network where ordinary people can respond to extraordinary need, one family at a time.
"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
Micah 6:8
What We Stand For
Our Mission
To mobilize everyday believers to meet urgent human needs in their communities — with compassion, transparency, and the love of Christ.
Donor-Directed Giving
Every donor chooses exactly where their gift goes. No bureaucracy. No overhead mystery. Just direct, verified help.
Verified Needs
Every need posted on our site is personally verified by phone before it goes live. We take stewardship seriously.
Radical Transparency
We operate with open books and open hearts. Donors always know how their money is being used.
Grassroots Outreach
We started with sack lunches and a prayer. We believe the most powerful ministry happens person to person, face to face.
Our History
Two Years of Service
For two years, Golden Rule Ministry has been quietly serving the community through weekly sack lunch distributions — showing up rain or shine to feed the hungry and sit with the lonely.
What began as one person's obedience has grown into a small but faithful team of volunteers who believe that showing up consistently is itself a form of worship.
Now, with the launch of our Urgent Needs fund, we are expanding that same spirit of direct, personal care into a platform where anyone — anywhere — can participate in meeting a real need for a real person.
